Following the anti-Semitic violence in Amsterdam following the match between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel-Aviv, the victims of the attacks returned to Israel and are giving their testimonies.

Planes continue to arrive from Amsterdam. In total, nine planes were mobilized to repatriate Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters. The families of the supporters are relieved. “I was very scared for my family, I was terrified for mine and for my friends, I’m glad they came back“, says an Israeli. Many supporters of one of the oldest and most successful clubs in the country are still in shock. “Palestinian sympathizers were throwing stones at the windows of our hotel,” said an Israeli supporter.

For two days, Israeli television channels have been talking about ambush, pogrom or Kristallnacht by broadcasting images and testimonies of the attacks. “They kicked and punched me… I will never go see a match in Europe again.” declares a supporter.
