The suspect knew the victim
An investigation for aggravated murder
was opened, specifies the public prosecutor Eric Bouillard. Following the discovery of the octogenarian’s body, a suspect was arrested. It would be a man, acquaintance of the victim, who had been at her home since at least the day before. This suspect was placed in police custody at the Angers police station.
An autopsy Sunday afternoon
The victim, a widow, lived quite isolated and was cared for by home help. An autopsy must take place on Sunday afternoon at the forensic department of Angers University Hospital. It will help clarify the circumstances of the death of the octogenarian.
