Firefighters are mobilized this Sunday, November 10, 2024 to a major fire, in Ducos, in Nouméa. It started at the end of the day, a few hundred meters from several companies, including one for the recovery of metal waste and the processing of batteries. It is also located not far from the storage area for debris linked to the riots. On site, the strong wind fanned the flames.
The police had to force a gate to get the fire brigade vehicles on site. Four machines are mobilized. According to our information, the alleged arsonist was quickly arrested and admitted the facts. The fire brigade intervention is still in progress.
