Named for the first time for the Kopa Trophy at the end of the 2023/2024 season, João Neves came in 6th position, tied with Alejandro Garnacho. The Portuguese international and the Manchester United winger collected six small points, while the big winner, Lamine Yamal, obtained 113. These points were awarded by a jury made up of former Ballon d’Or winners, and this Saturday, November 9, the newspaper The Team revealed the details of each vote. On the six points that João Neves got, three were awarded to him by Lothar Matthäus, who ranked him 2nd in his ranking, while Luis Figo, Ronaldinho and Luka Modric all gave him one point giving him 3rd place.
