Qatar pauses its mediation. In a press release relayed on X by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saturday November 9, the emirate denied any withdrawal from negotiations between Hamas and Israel announced by media, including AFP, citing a diplomatic source. But he added that he had “suspended” its efforts until all parties demonstrate “will and seriousness” to end the war. In the message, ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari said Qatar had informed relevant parties of its intentions ten days ago.

Reached by telephone by AFP in Qatar, a Hamas official indicated on condition of anonymity that his movement had not received “no request to leave Qatar”.
