Yvelines: after the murder in Carrières-sous-Poissy, the suspect was interned

The man suspected of the murder of Carrières-sous-Poissy (Yvelines) was taken into hospital care. His police custody was quickly lifted after the psychiatrist ordered his compulsory hospitalization. The investigations, entrusted to the territorial crime division (DCT), made it possible to better understand how the tragedy occurred on the night of Tuesday June 11. Inside the main street pavilion, this 24-year-old young man committed the irreparable by stabbing to death the 53-year-old father of his sister’s boyfriend.

His sister wanted to watch over her sick brother

According to the first elements collected, some of the person’s relatives wanted to have him interned because he was suffering from significant psychiatric disorders. But his sister, who lives in Carrières-sus-Poissy, would have opposed it. She allegedly offered to welcome her brother into her home and take care of him.

The first part of the evening went well. But at the end of the night, the boy first stabbed the family dog, then attacked his sister’s boyfriend before killing his sister’s father.

What happens next will depend on the psychiatric expertise carried out by the investigating judge. If a college of specialists agrees on the fact that his “judgment was abolished at the time of the events”, this murderer will never be tried.
