On February 12, 2023, the gendarmes had to intervene in Condé-sur-Noireau (Calvados) because of a domestic conflict. It is the four-year-old girl who opens the door to them, while her parents are both drunk, 1.7 g of alcohol per liter of blood, for the father and 2.26 g, for the mother. The man exclaims when he sees the police: It’s still going to be all for my sake, since you’re talking nonsense!

They argued because the woman took €50 that her partner wanted to give to her 20-year-old son. The 13-year-old son is also at the home and the police are asking the parents to find care with their loved ones for the evening, while they are heard and sober again.
An ongoing social services investigation
This is when the situation degenerates because the parents are afraid that their children will be placed. The 49-year-old man rebels against the police and the 38-year-old woman insults them. It is for these latter facts that they were both summoned on Wednesday November 6, 2024 before the Caen criminal court. They acknowledge the facts and both speak of a heavy history of alcohol in their respective families. They also began treatment to treat their alcohol addiction, for fear of losing their children. The woman is under judicial supervision for domestic violence that occurred subsequently.
