They are there. This Thursday, June 13, the second part of season 3 of “Bridgerton” appeared on Netflix. And there is no doubt that these last four episodes will be devoured in just a few hours, such is the impatience of the fans. This third salvo thus closes the chapter devoted to the love story between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington. But then, which characters will be at the heart of season 4?

What will be the plot of “Bridgerton” season 4?
We have known for some time that the showrunners did not follow to the letter the order of Julia Quinn’s novels on which the series is inspired. Indeed, if that had been the case, the third season should have been devoted to Benedict Bridgerton – Violet’s second son – and the fourth to Colin. It therefore seems that these two volumes have simply been reversed and that the youngest of the Bridgerton clan is next. In an interview with the Mexican media “L’Beauté Homme”, Luke Newton (Colin Bridgerton) even said he was “looking forward to seeing Benedict’s story next season”.
Another clue? On June 3, on her Instagram account, Nicola Coughlan shared a series of photos taken on the set of “Bridgerton”. In one of them – showing Luke Newton getting dressed in his dressing room – fans noticed the presence in the background of a piece of paper stuck to a mirror bearing the inscription “Sophie”. The first name, according to the original books, of Benedict’s future lover. If the interpreter of Penelope Featherington was quick to deny it by justifying that it was one of the make-up artists of the show, the fans are convinced: it is proof concerning the upcoming presence of Sophie Beckett .
Another hypothesis: that season 4 focuses on Francesca Bridgerton, second daughter of the clan, since she also makes her debut in society and is looking for the right fit during this third season.

What release date for “Bridgerton” season 4?
Fans of the romantic-historical series will have to arm themselves with a lot of patience. Last May, showrunner Jess Brownell assured “The Refinery29” that the team was currently working on season 4. The filming schedule and broadcast date are therefore not yet on the agenda. All that remains is to hope, at best, for a release by the end of 2025…

Several protagonists have already confirmed their presence in season 4. In an interview with “The Wrap”, Nicola Coughlan said: “They told us that we [Luke Newton et elle] We’re back for season 4 which is lovely… It’ll be exciting. » Even if the other members of the cast have not revealed anything, the majority of them should return for next season.
