The day before, Thursday June 13, this same 5-story building had been the scene of a theft worthy of a detective film: the criminals had gone through the apartment on the second floor to burglarize the Maty jewelry store.

“The amount of the loot is being estimated, but several display cases, containing watches and jewelry, were broken and the damage could amount to several tens of thousands of euros”specifies our colleagues from France Bleu Loire Océan.

Quickly on site, the police discovered that the thieves had set the apartment on fire.

Contacted, the public prosecutor of Nantes, Renaud Gaudeul, confirms that“an investigation is open to determine whether this is a new voluntary act or a resumption of fire.”
