The Remembrance Day ceremony will take place over three times over the weekend, in as many locations.
First, representatives of the La Beauce Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will present a Canadian flag and a Quebec flag to the administrators of the Municipality of Saint-Martin, which will be hoisted on the pole of the local fire station. The delivery will take place on Saturday, November 9, in front of the small military monument, adjacent to the local Desjardins Service Center.
It is on Sunday, November 10, that the most impressive commemoration will take place, at the cenotaph of the Régiment de la Chaudière, in Parc Mathieu in Beauceville.
In fact, some 80 cadets, around thirty representatives of the regiment, as well as around twenty veterans are expected for the occasion. Several elected officials from various levels of government will also be part of the solemn celebration.
Finally, on Monday, the same day of remembrance, a gathering is planned at the military monument at the Place des Vétérans in Saint-Georges. The latter is located near the Mgr-Beaudoin Adult Education Center.
Of course, as is the protocol for this commemoration, the three ceremonies will begin at around 11 a.m.
