Slowly slipping back into form after a poor start to the season, the Nervionenses began to pick up points and secure wins. After their second consecutive home victory, the club management decided to extend the contract of the head coach, who had only just started working with the team in the summer, for another year, and the victory in the derby won him praise.

After the international break, Sevilla suffered a heavy defeat at Barcelona (1:5), but less than a week later they secured their first away win of the season by beating Espanyol 2:0 at Barcelona thanks to a double from Dodi Lukebakio. Injury problems continue to undermine García Pimienta’s side’s chances of winning. Leganes are generally quite unstable, and it remains to be seen who will ultimately be missing from their lineup. As far as prediction goes, I don’t see a clear favorite in this head-to-head, and I wouldn’t be surprised by any potential outcome, other than a significant win for one of the teams. The most likely outcome, in my opinion, is a goal-rich draw.
