This Friday evening from 8:55 p.m., Arte broadcasts the feature film You won’t have my hatred by Kilian Riedhof. A drama carried by Pierre Deladonchamps and Camélia Jordana, adapted from a novel released in 2016 on the Bataclan attacks.
In 2015, France experienced one of its most devastating evenings on November 13. That evening, several terrorist attacks hit Paris, including an attack in the Bataclan hall during the Eagles of Death Metal concert. The attacks that evening caused 130 victims, including Hélène Muyal-Leiris, the wife of journalist Antoine Leiris. A drama that the former columnist for France Info and France Bleu recounted in a letter, published on social networks, then in his first book, You won’t have my hatred.
This critically acclaimed work was released on March 30, 2016 by Fayard. Six years later, in 2022, it was adapted for the cinema by Kilian Riedhof, with Pierre Deladonchamps and Camélia Jordana in the main roles. Released in French cinemas in November 2022, the film will be broadcast this Friday evening on Arte from 8:55 p.m.
Novemberthe other side of the attacks
This broadcast follows that of Novemberby Cédric Jimenez, broadcast on November 3 on France 2. Returning to the investigation which made it possible to get hold of the terrorists responsible for the attacks of November 13, the feature film is notably carried by Jean Dujardin. A role not so obvious for the actor, who declared to Ciné-Télé-Revue: “I didn’t say to myself, ‘This role is interesting.’ There are roles to show off, and I’ve had plenty of them here, the involvement is so different, visceral”. And to specify: “Ten years ago, I probably wouldn’t have been able to play it.”
