Morocco will become much richer than before with the expansion project of Aya Gold & Silver, a mining giant from Canada.

Concretely, the Canadian company has just taken a further step in the commissioning of its new silver processing plant.

The inauguration of this ultra-modern facility, which took place on November 4, 2024, not only represents a technical feat, but also embodies an ambitious strategic vision.

With a daily processing capacity increased to 2,700 tonnes, almost four times current production, this expansion positions Morocco among the leaders in precious metals.

The first results already exceed the most optimistic expectations.

Initial tests demonstrate remarkable operational efficiency, with a processing rate reaching 95 tonnes per hour.

This performance augurs an annual production estimated at 7.9 million ounces of silver, a volume that propels the Zgounder site among the most productive mines on an international scale.

Benoit La Salle, president and general manager of Aya Gold & Silver, does not hide his satisfaction with this technical and logistical success.

Scrupulous compliance with deadlines and allocated budgets demonstrates exemplary operational mastery, the result of close collaboration between international experts and local talents.

The impact of this development goes far beyond the industrial framework. Along the South Atlas Accident, a region historically rich in silver deposits, Aya Gold & Silver is actively pursuing its explorations.

This strategy of territorial expansion is accompanied by a deep commitment to local socio-economic development, creating a virtuous circle of opportunities for surrounding communities.

The gradual ramp-up of the installations, planned to reach full capacity in the first quarter of 2025, is a favorable sign for the Canadian company, but especially for Morocco.
