Several Vendée sportsmen passed on the pontoons of Port Olona, in Les Sables-d’Olonne, part of the Vendée Globe village. Among them, the Grau brothers, boxers, Enzo and Hugo, the surfer Prune Guérin and the triathlete David Gandon. West France went to meet them.

What connection do you have with sailing?
Hugo : We went Optimist, with the school, on Lake Tanchet (smile).
Enzo : Otherwise, we don’t follow discipline at all. However, there is a lot of talk about sailing and boating here (in Sables-d’Olonne where they live).
What does the Vendée Globe mean to you?
Hugo : It is a major event, which highlights the town of Sables-d’Olonne.
Enzo : Each time, it attracts a considerable crowd. We perceive this because our training room is close to one of the entrances to the village. Sportingly, I find that it is a very mental race, which requires surpassing oneself.
You have visited the pontoons. We also saw you with skipper Sébastien Marsset.
