One of the reasons that comes up most often to explain this low enthusiasm is the security risk surrounding the meeting. The match is scheduled at the Stade de France, as part of the 5th day of the Nations League.

The French Football Federation (FFF) only sold between 15,000 and 20,000 tickets for the France-Israel match, scheduled for Thursday, November 14 at the Stade de France, counting for the 5th day of the League of Nations, we have learned Friday, the sports department of Radio France contacted several sources close to the matter. The French team is therefore far from being full for its big return to Saint-Denis.
The tickets were put on sale late due to the uncertainty of the meeting being held at the Stade de France behind closed doors or in public. The match is finally open to the public, as the Paris police prefect, Laurent Nuñez, clarified on franceinfo on October 14.
This will be the lowest attendance for a French team match at the Stade de France, an enclosure which will be in its normal configuration with a capacity of 80,000 seats. For comparison, the last match between the two teams, on September 4, 2004, during a qualifying match for the 2006 World Cup, attracted 43,527 spectators.
The match does not attract crowds on the association side either. The French Irrésistibles, the first group of supporters of the French team, has sold to date, according to our information, only 225 tickets to the 2,500 members, a ticket office “historically low”, confirms the president of the association Hervé Mougin to the sports department of Radio France. One of the reasons that comes up most often to explain this low enthusiasm is the security risk surrounding the meeting. 2,500 members of the police are expected, or one police officer for approximately eight spectators.
As for the Baroudeurs du sport, an association which has around 500 members, only around twenty tickets were sold.
