In Nantes, they rob a jewelry store by drilling into the floor of the apartment above

The Maty jewelry store, located rue Crébillon in Nantes, was robbed Thursday morning. In the manner of Albert Spaggiari, the criminals dug a hole in the floor from the apartment above, located on the second floor, in order to access the store. The damage could amount to several tens of thousands of euros.

The apartment above the jewelry store burned down

The apartment in question was set on fire, and although the scars were slightly visible on one of the windows overlooking rue Crébillon, the damage was impressive on the rue de la Contrescarpe side. Around twenty firefighters intervened around 7:17 a.m., after being alerted by the police, and, at 10 a.m., the fire was declared extinguished. The building is mainly made up of offices. Only one person, who was staying in the attic, had to be taken care of, because they are bothered by the fumes. She was left there by emergency services after receiving a medical check-up.

The judicial police are on site as well as the scientific police, who are taking samples. A video surveillance camera is located in front of the store front. Rue Crébillon was always cut off at middayfrom Place Royale.
