Equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, the Redmi K80 Pro (Poco F7 Ultra) is being emulated on AnTuTu, suggesting a very attractive performance-price ratio.
Are we holding the new performance champion in the mid-range segment? Wang Teng, Director of Redmi Brand, revealed the score of the upcoming Redmi K80 Pro on the AnTuTu benchmark tool. He obtained 3,016,450 points, a remarkable result. The Redmi executive has not confirmed it, but the smartphone is expected with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite from Qualcomm, and its Oryon CPU cores which are so much talked about.
Regarding the price, Wang Teng promises a price that does not exceed that of the OnePlus 13 in China. The latter starts at 4,499 yuan (585 euros). Last year, the Redmi K70 Pro was available from 3,299 yuan (425 euros), but we can expect a price increase for this generation. The price of the Redmi K80 Pro should therefore be somewhere between these two brands.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite works wonders
The mobile should be renamed Poco F7 Ultra internationally. The standard Redmi K70 should appear in our regions under the name Poco F7 Pro. Both devices should be equipped with a 6.67-inch flat OLED displaywith 2K definition (between Full HD and Quad HD) and refresh rate up to 120 Hz.
The Redmi K80 Pro would benefit from a power of wired charging up to 120W and wireless charging up to 50W. The Redmi K80 would be satisfied with 90 W with a cable and 30 W by induction, which is already very good for a device located in such a price range. The Redmi K80 will not be entitled to the Snapdragon 8 Elite, but will still do very well in terms of performance with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the chip embedded in most premium Android smartphones from 2024.
We also learn that there will be no Redmi K80E, unlike in previous years. Strange, when three different models of the series have recently been certified in China. As a reminder, the Redmi K (Poco in Europe) focuses on the performance-price ratio, making concessions on other elements, such as the photo for example, to keep prices low.
