Israeli attacks against several areas in Lebanon continue.
In the South, the villages of Khirbet Selm, Tiri, Soultaniyé, Tebnine, Chaqra, Kounine (Bint Jbeil) and Kfar Remmane (Nabatiyé) were attacked, while the strikes against Tire continued during the night from Thursday to Friday. In this caza, and more particularly in Aïn Baal, military planes targeted a building, while the funerals of victims killed the day before in Barja (in Chouf) were to be held. Furthermore, Israeli reconnaissance planes and drones flew over villages in the districts of Tire and Bint Jbeil during the night from Thursday to Friday, and Israeli aircraft fired light bombs on border villages adjacent to the Blue Line. .
At dawn on Friday, the regions of Ramiyé, Aïta el-Chaab and Qaouzah (in the south of the country) were exposed to machine gun fire, particularly in forests located near the border with Israel. In addition, the areas of Alma el-Chaab, Wadi Slouki, Majdel Selem and Bint Jbeil were subjected to Israeli artillery shelling, which caused significant material damage.
In Israel and the early hours of Friday morning, sirens sounded in Haifa, Nazareth, Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas, as well as large areas of the Galilee.
The Israeli army said it had “detected around twenty missiles launched from Lebanon towards northern Israel as well as in the direction of Haifa and Nazareth”, specifying that “some of them were intercepted”.
Israeli Channel 12 also reported that “5 missiles were seen over the Finger of Galilee” and that “some fell in open areas.” Still according to the same channel, “ten missiles were launched on Naharia and the western Galilee”.
Furthermore, according to Jewish state media, an Israeli army helicopter is searching for drones that have entered the airspace north of Caesarea.
Hezbollah, for its part, claimed responsibility for an attack on the Stella Maris naval base northwest of Haifa on Friday morning, using a salvo of missiles.
