As hurricane season approaches, parts of South Florida have been experiencing extreme flooding since Wednesday.

Heavy rain is expected to continue through Friday.

Some images, revealed in the TF1 subject, are impressive.

In the United States, torrential rains cause significant flooding in Florida. In the south, nearly a month’s worth of rain fell in just a few hours. Motorists were trapped by surprise, and residents were asked to take refuge at higher altitudes.

Some people try to move forward despite everything, as we can see in the video at the top of this article. Others had to abandon their vehicles, blocked by more than a meter of water. And while some people try the scooter ride, others are more inventive.

A resident interviewed said she had never experienced a flood of this magnitude in the last 20 years. Until Miami services can pump the water and clear the roads, local authorities recommend limiting travel.

Florida’s governor has declared a state of emergency in some southern cities. At Fort Lauderdale International Airport, many flights are still canceled or delayed.
