A spectator at the Allianz Arena was resuscitated several times before being taken to hospital on Wednesday evening during the match between Bayern and Benfica, the Munich club announced to the German press agency SID, a subsidiary of the ‘AFP.

Bayern supporters from the Südkurve, where the club’s ultras meet, quickly stopped their chants throughout the match and removed the flags from their stands, the match taking place in cathedral silence, only the chants of the Benfica supporters echoed in the stadium of 75,000 spectators.

After the match, Bayern captain Manuel Neuer and coach Vincent Kompany indicated that there had been no celebration of success in the locker room.
