The members of the office of the association Friends of Saint-Jacques-de-Calahons planted 22 new red and yellow sages around the chapel, a prelude to a Sant Jaume in blood and gold. In fact, the association is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2025 with various scheduled events. A year which will be particularly marked and highlighted for the 40th anniversary of the association.
The number 40 is associated in numerology with patience, structure and a solid foundation. It represents endurance and perseverance in the face of adversity. Adversity is not the point. But endurance and perseverance were needed and will certainly still be needed. The association Les amis de Saint-Jacques-de-Calahons has always had a commitment to solidarity from its members and also from the municipalities of Catllar, Marquixanes and Eus. Wishing to see this fraternal and large family grow, the members of the association's office and brother Yohann, a hermit in Sant-Jaume, work tirelessly to maintain this heritage and promote this place where spirituality and secularism come together.
Year 2025
Without revealing everything in detail, the year 2025 will be rich in festivities. Indeed, the association plans to organize memorable outings, concerts, conferences and the release of a film. She hopes to inspire the desire to join them. The traditional ones gatherings are maintained as usual on Easter Monday for the inhabitants of Catllar, accompanied by the couple Sol de Banyuls and May 1st for the inhabitants of Marquixanes and Eus.
