Between the night of Wednesday and the evening of Saturday, June 5 and 8, three murders took place in the Ishmaelite capital, the perpetrators of which were twenty-somethings, unemployed and drug users.

Wednesday June 5, while elements of the judicial police reporting to the prefectural security in Meknes are working to elucidate a murder case in one of the red-light districts of the city, information reaches them stating that another murder was committed in another neighborhood. This is actually the third in three days.
The latest which was committed on the night of Friday to Saturday, June 7 to 8, in the territory of the commune of Ouislane concerns a sixty-year-old who enjoyed a good reputation in the region of Blad Moulay Zidane. He was at home when he heard a commotion coming from the neighborhood. Looking out from the window, he noticed delinquents arguing violently and throwing stones at each other. Fearing that his car would be hit, he went out to park it in a safer place.

As soon as he opened the gate of his vehicle, a stone hit him in the head and he lost consciousness. After which, civil protection elements rushed to the scene to transport him aboard an ambulance to the emergency department of Mohammed V hospital in Meknes. Unfortunately, halfway there, he gave up the ghost. Alerted, elements of the judicial police mobilized while carrying out the necessary investigations resulting in the arrest of seven suspects. Kept in police custody, the latter were brought before the general public prosecutor’s office at the Court of Appeal.

A few hours earlier, Friday June 7, this time in the Al Msalla district, a young man in his twenties, a hairdresser, ended the life of his cousin, we learn from the same judicial Source. The victim, also in his twenties, a garlic merchant, was going to the “souika” (small souk) when his cousin cut him off. After a heated discussion they began to exchange insults. It was then that the hairdresser who was armed with a knife committed the irreparable by striking a blow to the chest of his cousin who succumbed to his injury in the emergency room of the Mohammed V hospital.

The third murder was committed on Wednesday June 5. The scene of the crime was the Sidi Bouzekri district where both the victim, a thirty-year-old, and the perpetrator of the crime, aged seventeen, live. After a simple argument, the teenager seriously injured the thirty-year-old’s hand, causing hemorrhage. The victim died in the hospital emergency department.
