At least this is what the psychologist and psychiatrist experts concluded following their diagnosis of the alleged murderer of little Rose, 5 years old, in the Vosges. The facts, which occurred in April 2023, involve a boy aged 15 at the time of the events, who allegedly drowned the little girl in his bathroom before putting her in a plastic bag. He then alerted the police, who found the child in the building, where the boy also lived. His trial opens this Tuesday, June 11, 2024 before the children’s court in Épinal, in the Vosges. The psychological expertise of the young man is very worrying for the lawyer of the victim’s family. Indeed, the alleged murderer declared in July 2023: “For three, four days, I had the idea of ​​drowning someone. I drowned her for a laugh. I was zen when it happened.” With a smile on his face, he confessed to the murder during his hearing at the Metz remand center (Moselle). Stéphane Giurana, the lawyer for Rose’s family, explains to our colleagues that “the six psychiatrists write that he is perverse, that he is sadistic, that there is a criminological danger, and that the risk of recidivism is inevitable”.
