PSG are targeting Viktor Gyökeres to solve their offensive problems this winter. With 23 goals this season, the Sporting striker could be the reinforcement expected by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to turn around PSG in the Champions League.
PSG are desperately looking for a top striker, and the name of Viktor Gyökeres seems to be the ideal solution. Following the defeat against Atlético Madrid (2-1) and insufficient offensive performances in the Champions League, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos have decided to accelerate the file.
The Swedish striker, currently in great shape with Sporting Portugal, could arrive in Paris from the winter transfer window for an amount of around 70 million euros. According to journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin, Gyökeres has already given his verbal agreement to join PSG, but Sporting could demand that he stay until the end of the season.
Gyökeres to save PSG's season?
PSG's lack of offensive efficiency, with only 3 goals scored in 4 Champions League matches, forces the club to quickly find a real number 9. In great form with 23 goals this season, Gyökeres represents a strong reinforcement to fill the gaps in attack.
Negotiations between Paris and Sporting are already underway, and the arrival of the striker could well revive PSG's ambitions in Europe.
