Tartiflette is not exactly the lightest dish in the world. Between the cheese, bacon, potatoes and cream, we arrive at a total of around 640 Kcal per person for a 450 g portion. With, unsurprisingly, a particularly high fat bill (35 g per serving, including almost 20 g of saturated fatty acids). It is therefore not the best choice when you are trying to lose weight or pay attention to your figure!
An autumn tartiflette with butternut squash
Good news: it is possible to lighten the tartiflette. This is also what dietician-nutritionist Julie Chenu suggests in a video recently published on Instagram: her revisited tartiflette recipe (less fatty, less caloric, but just as tasty as the real one) really whets our appetites. mouth!
Here is the recipe for 4 people. Cut ½ butternut squash into thick strips. Place half of it at the bottom of a baking dish. In a salad bowl, make a cream by mixing 300 grams of fromage blanc with 3% fat, 1 clove of grated garlic and pepper. Spread half of this mixture on the butternut slices in the baking dish. In a pan, brown 150 g of bacon and 1 chopped red onion without adding fat. Put half of this preparation in the oven dish.
Cut a reblochon into 4 by cutting it first lengthwise (to obtain two discs) then widthwise (to obtain 4 half-discs or half-moons). Arrange 2 half-discs of Reblochon on the bacon + onion preparation, in the oven dish. Then add a layer of sliced butternut squash + a layer of fromage blanc cream + 1 layer of bacon with onions + the remaining reblochon. Season with pepper and bake for 50 minutes at 180°C.
Tartiflette + salad + light vinaigrette = a balanced meal!
Attention : do not salt your tartiflette before cooking”because the bacon and cheese already take care of that!” underlines the dietician-nutritionist. Furthermore, avoid cottage cheese with 0% fat because “this would make too much water when cooking“.
To compose a perfectly balanced lunchtake ¼ tartiflette and “accompany it with a nice salad of lamb's lettuce and arugula lightly seasoned with a squeeze of lemon or cider vinegar“Yum!
