The president of the PTB-PVDA Raoul Hedebouw went to vote on Sunday morning around 10:00 a.m. in the office of the Thier municipal school in Liège.
“As always, the question will be whether or not the PTB is essential in terms of discussions to enter a government. Politics is a question of the balance of power, it is not a question of people. For the moment, we see that the traditional parties, and more particularly PS and Ecolo, are closing the door to the PTB. But if the PTB is strong enough, obviously we will be able to win. We’ll see this evening if we have this balance of power” said the president of the Communist Party as he left the polling station.
To achieve this objective, Raoul Hedebouw hopes to reach the top three at the federal level. “For us, it would be important to, for example, be able to be the third parliamentary group at the level of the Chamber. We would then be truly essential in the discussions.“
