While his contract was still running in 2025 with dsm-firmenich PostNL, Patrick Bevin ended his career. The New Zealander had a very complicated 2024 season and has not raced since March…

Patrick Bevin (33 years old) ended his career as a professional cyclist. The New Zealander, plagued by health problems and in particular cardiac arrhythmia in 2020, therefore prematurely quit while he still had one year of contract remaining with dsm-firmenich PostNL. Neither he nor the team have, however, communicated the main reason for this retirement.

“Today marks the end of an era, my last day as a professional cyclist. Thanks to dsm-firmenich PostNL who have been incredibly supportive throughout these last two extremely difficult seasons, but from today I am retiring”wrote Bevin on his social networks.
