Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) thinks back to the moment when Jack (Peter Bergman) confided to her that he was still in love with her. She confides her doubts to Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman). William (Jason Thompson) promises Victor (Eric Braeden) to resign if the latter abandons legal proceedings against Chancellor Communication. Lily (Christel Khalil) is furious with him for doing this. As for Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Victor and Devon (Bryton James), everyone is worried about Abby (Melissa Orday) who decided to take a plane to Valencia, Spain, to find Chance.

Jack runs into Phyllis at Neon Scarlet when he has to leave with Ashley to find Abby. Sharon (Sharon Case) suspects Phyllis of having left Nick (Joshua Morrow) to reconnect with Jack. Victor could disrupt Ashley’s plans as he faces Nick’s scolding. Adam (Mark Grossamn) proposes a new project to Sally (Courntey Hope). Sharon is worried about seeing her son Noah (Rory Gibson) in bad times, but the latter finds comfort with Faith (Reylynn Caster) and Tessa (Cait Fairbnks). Victor and Adam discuss the affair between them and William, while they are listened to at the door.

Tensions emerge between William and Lily after the latter suggests that Victor resign as co-CEO. A proposal to buy Chancellor Communication is put forward by Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland (Richard Burgi). Lily could retain her role as CEO, but the proposal would involve William’s departure. Victoria plans to send her children to boarding school to protect them from any potential consequences regarding the situation with William. Sally shares with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) that their video project got Adam’s approval. She also assures Chloe that she is no longer trying to get closer to Adam. Devon and Dominic’s bond gradually strengthens.

Jack and Ashley take stock of their fruitless search in Spain, while Victor explores new leads to find Abby. Amanda and Phyllis celebrate the trial verdict and reflect on Phyllis’s feelings for Jack, while he does the same with Ashley. Nate (Sean Dominic) is surprised to see Devon already so comfortable with Dominic. Meanwhile, Abby is in Majorca and finally reunites with Chance.

Victor worries about his daughter. Ashley finds Abby who informs her that Chance is alive, but the latter persists in wanting to stay in Spain to complete his mission. Jill (Jesse Walton) visits William and Lily. After lecturing her son, she asks to see Lily face to face and suggests that she take over the management of Chancellor Industries. Adam is informed that Victoria and Ashland have made an offer to purchase Chancellor Communications.

In Spain, Abby asks Kim for help to convince Chance to return to Genoa with her. Meanwhile, Ashley announces to Jack, who remained on the plane, that Chance is indeed still alive. Jill encourages Lily to agree to replace her as CEO of Chancellor Industries, but she is not ready to abandon Chancellor Communications and William. Victor runs into William at Society, who questions what makes Victor hate him so much.

Imani (Leigh-Anne Rose) and Amanda are looking for office space for their law firm. William refuses to be hired by Chancellor and blames his mother for turning away from him. Devon learns from Ashley that Abby is going to come home and pick up Dominic. Noah liked Tessa’s songs and is going to design her album cover. Adam, who came to talk to Jill about the future of Chancellor Communications, is rebuffed.

To everyone’s surprise, Jill announces that she is opening the sale of Chancellor Communication to the highest bidder. William insists that Lily agree to succeed Jill as Chancellor, while Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) seeks to know if Victoria still intends to acquire the subsidiary. For their part, Victor and Adam prepare their new strategy, the latter having also refused Sally’s help. Abby and Ashley are finally back in Genoa, accompanied by Chance, whose survival had been kept secret until then. Amanda then worries about Devon, who has become very attached to Dominic.

Victor decides to organize a small family party to mark Chance’s return to Genoa. Nikki takes care of the organization with Phyllis, since the reception will take place at the Grand Phoenix, despite the recent breakup between Nicholas and Phyllis… Adam really likes Noah’s work and tries to convince him to work for Newman Media. Noah needs time to know what he’s looking for professionally. Meanwhile, at Society, Sally comes across William, visibly very depressed, she tries to start a conversation with him, but in vain.

Sharon receives a visit from Nick, then Mariah, at Neon Scarlet and tries to convince them both to go to the party organized by Victor and Nikki to celebrate Chance’s return. The latter notably meets Ashland there, before promising Abby to never again separate from her and their son, Dominic. Victor and Victoria also take the opportunity to try to coax Jill into buying Chancellor Communication. For her part, Ashley questions Phyllis about her intentions towards Jack, while Devon arrives late to the party.

Ashland announces to Victoria that there has been no further spread of her cancer, but before they can discuss further, Lily interrupts to speak privately to Victoria. Faced with Lily’s concern about William, Victoria shows her the signs that could indicate a potential relapse into addiction. Sharon tries to gauge Mariah’s feelings about Chance and Abby’s baby. After losing his job at Chancellor Communication, William actually seems to be in trouble. Adam finds him at Society drinking, and he exploits the situation to provoke him.

Noah works with Devon on Tessa’s album to choose the best cover. Abby organizes a little family outing at Society with Dominic and Chance, who has just returned from his mission. They come across Tessa and Mariah. The latter seems disturbed to see him back. Chance seems uncomfortable in public. Amanda tells Phyllis that she is going to open her law firm with Imani. Phyllis, for her part, confides in her relationship with Jack. To make their breakup official, Nick visits Phyllis to return her things.
