A real shock. A few days ago, two cars belonging to educators from the football club of l’US Colomiers, near Toulouse, were set on fire.
Two fires “an hour apart”
The events took place on the night of October 28 to 29, 2024. The two vehicles caught fire “an hour apart”in two distinct municipalities.
The two arsons created a huge emotion in the world of amateur football: since the 1is November, all the sports educators of the Colomiers club asserted their right of withdrawal for a period of ten days, “considering that the security conditions are no longer met to ensure the continuity of their activity”.
Deeply shocked by the facts, US Colomiers decided to suspend its activities : “for a period of 10 days, no training or official matches will be assured, with the exception of federal teams”.
At the same time, two investigations were opened in order to shed light on these two arson attacks.
“His house is destroyed”
The first victim's car was burned around 2 a.m. The second fire, which occurred at the second educator's house, an hour later, had much more serious consequences: “his garage caught fire. Fortunately, he realized this. He had to be evacuated in the middle of the night with his four children, including a newborn. Do you realize? », was indignant toNews Toulouse, Patrice Maureltechnical director of US Colomiers, very touched by the facts.
“His house is destroyed”he added, furious. The coach, named Kader, and his family who, fortunately, have no physical after-effects, were able to be rehoused… But he finds himself in a very difficult situation, because his house has been declared « inhabitable ».
A prize pool launched to help Kader
For this reason, the US Colomiers club decided to launch a fundraiser to help Kader and his family. “Here is a Leetchi prize pool set up by the club to allow you to make a donation to give a helping hand to the family of one of our educators,” explains the club on social networks.
“A gesture of solidarity for Kader and his family! Victim of a criminal act, Kader lost everything in the fire which destroyed his garage and made his house uninhabitable. Deprived of his vehicle and numerous possessions, he had to be rehoused. To help him get back on his feet and rebuild, we are launching this fundraiser. Together, let's show him that we are here for him.
