While the Goncourt 2024 literary prize has just been awarded, the Drouant restaurant unveils the menu offered to academics. A gastronomic score accessible to the general public until mid-December.

It has been more than a century since the members of the Académie Goncourt found refuge around the tables of the establishment on Place Gaillon, founded in 1880. Every first Tuesday of the month, they meet there to discuss current events. literary before electing, once a year, the winner of the Goncourt Prize.
110 years of shared history which is embodied again this year in a menu specially created by the Chef Romain Van Thienen. Kept secret until the award of the Prize awarded this year to the writer Kamel Daoud for Houris (Editions Gallimard), this gastronomic proposal is now revealed in a three or six-course service offered until December 15.
On the program: “Continental influences” (quiche Lorraine, caviar), “Banc de l'écailler” (lobster, shrimp, mussel, clam, almond) and “From Normandy to Paris” (sole, fish stock, caviar, spinach de Viroflay) which prefigure the “Return from hunting of the Marquise” (Partridge pie, breaded thigh and game juice) followed by a tasting of Brie de Meaux.
As a conclusion, an “Anthology of Parisian desserts” bringing together praline cream, chiboust cream, baba, choux and coffee. A literary epilogue, more delicious than ever.
