Vélo Charlevoix won two prizes awarded by the Fédération québécoise des sports cyclists. The Canada Cup and the Grand Prix won in the “event of the year” categories.

The prizes were presented at the Méritas du cycling, which took place this afternoon in Bromont.

“We are happy. For us it’s a pat on the back. Following the floods, we worked hard to hold the Canada Cup at the Le Genévrier campsite. For the Grand Prix, we broke a participation record last year when it was the 27th edition of the event. We see that he still has his place in the circuit. These two awards are additional recognition,” underlines the general coordinator of Vélo Charlevoix, Marie-Claude Laurendeau-Desmarais.

Remember that last year the Grand Prix Cycliste de Charlevoix welcomed 480 runners divided into several categories. 120 come from outside Quebec.

“Our participants also give us good comments on the event and that is valuable,” concludes the general coordinator.
