R2 Group A, 5th day. Sizun/Le Tréhou – AS Brestoise: (2-0)
It was the Brestois who showed their intentions by calling on Jézéquel twice in the first minute. The greens did not wait long to respond, first by Fabi who crossed his shot too far (7'), then on a corner headed by Salaun on the bar (15'). The best opportunity for the visitors was for Tissier who put in force and over a ball offered by Elin (20') then Fabi who missed his duel against Toussaint (28').
Two goals in two minutes
We said to ourselves that Sizun had missed his chance when Chessé couldn't find the solution in front of the Asbéiste goalkeeper (52'). But the two goals were scored in quick succession by Clerson volleying from a corner (1-0, 58') and Fabi receiving a cross from Bonniou (2-0, 59') sheltered Sizun from a comeback from Brest despite Olivier's score being reduced with a dry strike (2-1.73'). For local coach Bruno Plassart, “We unlocked something, by playing a full match for 90 minutes. We have found a good state of mind, which we will have to maintain for the future which still promises to be difficult.”
