Between 50 and 1,500 hours of volunteering per year

“There are sixteen first aiders during a Ligue 2 match and 34 for a Champions League match,” explains Adrien Le Breton, departmental president of Civil Protection. There are four first aiders on the edge of the pitch and pairs in each stand and in the public infirmary. In the event of a player's injury, the field team takes care of him to the infirmary near his locker room. During the treatment period, we reorganize ourselves to provide the required number of rescuers. » First aiders who are all qualified.

The association has 400 volunteer rescuers divided into nine branches that are autonomous in terms of equipment and staff. Depending on their commitment, each person volunteers 50 to 1,500 hours per year. “We have been working with the EAG for two years. During our first match, two players collided and we had to take care of both players at the same time, which is really rare,” recalls the head of Civil Protection before returning to his post.
