Are you ready to hit the slopes? The Vallées et Montagnes ski club of Saint-Dié-des-Vosges is organizing its ski fair on November 2 and 3, 2024. More than 1200 items are offered for sale at reduced prices. Buyers come to save money while waiting for the snow to arrive on the peaks.
“It’s cheaper than when it’s new”
To be able to work on your stick planting, you must already be equipped. Bruno circulates between the rows of skis and poles. The federal instructor at the Vallées et Montagnes ski club is there to advise buyers. “You have to check that the toes do not touch the tip of the ski boot”he explains.
In the aisles there are many parents with children who grow up too quickly. “Last year’s business is far too small”observes Fanny. She came with her two sons to save money : “It’s still cheaper than when it’s new.”
Prices two to three times cheaper
Prices two to three times cheaper than on the market. It can only be a win-win for Christophe Le Corre, the president of the ski club and organizer of the ski fair. “Complete equipment for a child costs around a hundred euros here. It’s much cheaper than with rental companies”he points out.
The operation is also a win-win for the club which hopes to collect between 2,000 and 3,000 euros in profits over the weekend.
