A shooting broke out on the night of Thursday October 31 to Friday November 1 in front of a restaurant in Poitiers during which five people were seriously injured, announced Bruno Retailleau, who linked these shootings to drug trafficking. One of them, a 15-year-old teenager, did not survive, the prosecutor announced to AFP this Saturday, November 2.
The 15-year-old teenager, seriously injured by a gunshot to the head during a shooting Thursday evening in Poitiers, died Saturday midday, Poitiers prosecutor Cyril Lacombe announced to the press.
A suspect still wanted
Hit in the head, the victim was hospitalized in a state of absolute emergency, his vital prognosis being in jeopardy. Four other minors aged 15 and 16 were injured by shots fired in front of a restaurant in a district of the city. They have minor injuries and their lives are not in danger. A suspect is being sought by investigators in this case linked to drug trafficking according to the authorities.
While the Minister of the Interior had mentioned the presence of “400 to 600 people”the prosecutor specified that the police confronted around sixty individuals. “This crowd showed a certain vehemence in its demands”he declared. Three tear gas grenades were used by the police to stabilize the situation.
“I think we are at a tipping point”declared Friday Bruno Retailleau. “Today, the narco-scum no longer have limits, he continued. It doesn’t happen in South America but in Rennes, in Poitiers, in this Western France that I know well and which was once renowned for its tranquility. The choice we have today is a choice between general mobilization or the Mexicanization of the country.”
