Who is Hadama Traoré, the Representative Democracy candidate?

Hadama Traoré was born in 1984 in Aulnay-sous-Bois. He was responsible for a youth branch of the Aulnay-sous-Bois town hall until 2018, when he was fired and convicted for insulting elected officials.

Hadama Traoré is a divisive character. He made himself known through criticized positions: in 2019, he organized a rally (subsequently banned) in support of Mickaël Harpon who murdered four of his fellow police officers. In 2021 he created the “the last rampart” movement to oppose the health pass.

He is also known for his struggles against poor housing and his ambivalent relationship with the police: mediator between the police and citizens after the Théo affair, Hadama Traoré was also convicted in 2023 for violence and rebellion against municipal police officers.

What is his party?

Representative democracy is equated with the far left. Hadama Traoré founded it in 2017. He ran in the 2019 European elections under this banner (0.01% of the votes cast) as well as in the 2020 municipal elections. With this party, he stands up against the evil- housing, the oppression of minorities and the institution and police violence. In 2019, he declared: “the day we take power, the first thing we do is blow it up”.

What are his proposals?

Hadama Traoré presents himself as “the candidate of the suburbs (cities and villages)”. Its program consists of 47 detailed points. He wants, among other things, to focus on fraternity to “foster a nation illustrating a united multicultural political community”, regain “power in the face of the world of finance”, “fight against all discrimination and against racism”, adopt “a environmental and ecological transition plan financed by major polluting groups.”

He relies on popular consultation, wants to “abolish impunity and institutional repression”. On this point he specifies that he wants to “favor consultation and peace diplomacy over repression, nevertheless defend oneself in the face of aggression and use all necessary diplomatic means.” And to conclude: “the revolution is underway and no one can stop it. »
