Roland-Garros: matches resume after the rain, start of the day at 10 a.m. Friday

The matches launched on the uncovered courts of Roland-Garros resumed after around thirty minutes of interruption Thursday at midday, and to cope with the rainy weather conditions, Friday will begin at 10 a.m., announced the tournament director Amélie Mauresmo.

The matches were interrupted by rain after about an hour of play Thursday, shortly after noon.

The day before, all matches scheduled on the outdoor courts had to be postponed due to the rain falling almost continuously on the Parisian clay courts.

Only matches played on the Philippe-Chatrier and Suzanne-Lenglen courts, each protected by a roof, take place as planned.

Faced with these very unfavorable weather conditions, Friday, a priori devoted to half of the third round, will begin at 10 a.m. on all courts at Roland-Garros, including Chatrier and Lenglen, in order to be able to schedule a fifth match there. , Mauresmo said during a press briefing. Which means one hour earlier than usual on the outdoor courts, and two hours earlier on the two main courts.
