Slightly curled beard, hat screwed on his head and Quiksilver fleece pulled up to his chin, Rémi Benamo has not yet swapped his “rider” style for a lighter outfit. Time proves him right. Behind the bay window in the living room, heavy drops fall onto the floor of the terrace of the family home in Berolle.

It is here, in this small village located under the first cliffs of the Jura that Rémi Benamo spent most of his childhood with his little brother Colin and his parents. Before setting down their suitcases there, the Benamos saw the country. “My dad working for the Red Cross, we traveled a lot, mainly during my first years of life,” explains the 23-year-old young man. I was born in Sri Lanka, then I lived in Colombia before returning to Switzerland, to Yverdon, around the age of 2.”
