Chariot Limited announces the discovery of Natural Gas on the OBA-1 Drilling –

VShe drilling, which is the second in a two-well campaign on the Loukos Onshore license in Morocco, marks a key step for the region’s energy future.

The OBA-1 well, drilled to a final depth of 901 meters, was not only on time and on budget, but also achieved all reservoir targets set prior to drilling. The first analyzes of the data collected indicate the presence of significant reservoirs over a gross thickness of 200 meters. Of these, a 70 meter gap, exhibiting high resistivity and gas measurements, suggests the potential presence of a waterless gas layer.

Quoted in the company press release, Chariot Technical Director, Duncan Wallace said: “We are very pleased to announce the successful drilling of the OBA-1 well on the Dartois prospect which concludes the first onshore drilling campaign in Morocco led by Chariot. These results are positive for the potential of the Dartois area. » He also emphasized the importance of future analysis and testing to determine the productivity and resource potential of this discovery.

Data from the RZK-1 and OBA-1 wells will be integrated with reprocessed 3D seismic data to optimally assess the resource potential of the Dartois area. This approach aims to refine the future work program and maximize the impact on the Loukos license.

Duncan Wallace also expressed his gratitude to the operational teams and ONHYM for their continued support and partnership.

Chariot Limited, listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in London under the symbol CHAR, is positioned as a key player in transition energy in Africa. The company is currently engaged in three main sectors: transition gas, transition energy and green hydrogen.

This discovery of natural gas on the OBA-1 drilling represents a decisive step for Chariot and the energy development of Morocco, opening the way to new exploration and production opportunities on the Loukos Onshore license.
