An emblematic company in Indre, the Varennes-sur-Fouzon dairy is the main packaging site for drinking milk for the Laiterie de Saint-Denis-de-l’Hôtel (LSDH) group. The factory, where 260 employees work, bricks some 300 million liters of milk per year, or more than one million liters per day, collected from 1,140 dairy producers in twenty-three departments.

A member of Syndilait, which brings together packaged liquid milk professionals, the LSDH dairy in Varennes opens its doors each year as part of World Milk Day in France. Wednesday June 5, 2024, the public is invited to come and discover “behind the scenes of the French packaged milk industry, which supplies 99% of the milk offered on the national market”.

The opportunity to learn more about the milk journey, from the meadow to bottling or cartoning, and to interact with all the professionals in the chain: dairy farmers, milk picker drivers, line drivers, quality managers, etc.
