AEW Double or Nothing 2024: Buy In

Deonna Purrazzo defeated Thunder Rosa by pinfall with a pin in the ropes countering a Cobra Crossface.

Tony Khan and Renee Young are with Martha Hart to announce not only the return of the Owen Hart Cup tournament, but also that for this third edition, the winners will be entitled to chances at the major AEW titles at All In 2024.

The Acclaimed and Bill Gunn defeated Brian Cage and The Gates of Agony by pinfall with a roll up from Gunn on Kaun.

Will Ospreay International champion

The main show opens with the International championship. Roderick Strong defends his title against Will Ospreay, and Matt Taven and Mike Bennett are at ringside.

During the match Don Callis, who was at the commentary table, advised Will Ospreay to injure Strong’s neck (who was already suffering from it) by carrying his Tiger Driver. He almost did, but abandoned the idea at the last moment. However, this did not prevent the Briton from emerging victorious.

Will Ospreay defeated Roderick Strong by pinfall with his Hidden Blade and Storm Breaker to become International champion.

Don Callis may be delighted with this victory for the Don Callis Family, but we can see Ospreay moving further away from it soon.

Adam Cole is back…and so is MJF!

Adam Cole enters the ring for a promo. He is obviously not yet 100% according to his statements and would prefer to continue his convalescence at home. He also mentions The Devil, “There is always a devil deep inside us”, and adds that when he is ready, he will give him back his name.

The lights suddenly go out. Images show a house in which we recognize objects and outfits belonging to MJF. The former AEW champion, absent since Worlds End, arrives in Triple H version 2002 with his torn denim jacket, and joins Adam Cole in the ring. He takes him in his arms, but quickly gives him a low blow to send him backstage.

MJF takes the mic to insult Adam Cole and ask security to keep him away, and cuts a promo to praise his skills. “I didn’t need New Japan or Vince McMahon to make me, MJF made himself,” he says. He adds that he’s done with last year’s bullshit, let’s move on to haste, “and no one is safe.”

Regarding his future, he says he is All In, that he is Double or Nothing, and asks the cameraman to zoom in on his calf: He has a tattoo of the AEW logo. He remains All Elite, and ends by saying that he is not ready to leave. This is good news, and a return just the way we like it.

Ongoing: Bang Bang Gang vs. The Death Triangle
