A knife attack in the metro in Lyon left four injured, including two in absolute emergency, this Sunday, May 26, early in the afternoon. The individual was arrested and taken into custody.

Four people were injured in the metro in Lyon this Sunday, May 26, by a man armed with a knife. The attack occurred early in the afternoon, around 2:30 p.m., between the Debourg and Place Jean Jaurès stations of metro B, reports the Lyon prosecutor’s office.

· The suspect in custody

The suspect in the knife attack was quickly arrested by internal security forces and taken into custody around 2:35 p.m.

Of Moroccan nationality and aged 27, he is unknown in the files, indicates the prefect of Rhône Fabienne Buccio, in a press release. He was hospitalized several times due to psychiatric problems. “He was followed on several occasions in psychiatric hospitals,” she added during a press conference.
