An accident occurred during the Boucles rally this Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Erloy, near Marly-Gomont, in Aisne. A 37-year-old pilot from Ile-de-France has died. Details.

The third edition of the Boucles capelloises rally was mourned this Sunday, May 26, 2024. Stan Schwab, a 37-year-old driver, died during the race. “The car left the road when it hit a bump and ended up on the side of the road. The accident took place at 2:43 p.m. in the territory of the municipality of Erloy, between La Capelle and Vervins. The race was immediately interrupted“, specifies the Hauts-de-France Motor Sports League in a press release.

Despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, the pilot could not be resuscitated and died on the spot. The co-pilot, who was not injured, was evacuated and transferred to hospital for examinations.

Stan Schwab, 37, was a “experienced and discreet driver who has participated in around fifty car rallies including several rounds of the French Championship since 2017“, still according to the regional motorsport league. According to the first information we have, at the time of the accident, Stan Schwab was in second position in the rally and was fighting for first place.

A graduate of ASA 59-Hautmont, Stan Schwab was a restaurateur in the Paris region and lived in Levallois-Perret.
