Fans of small murders in the France 3 region are already licking their lips. This Saturday, May 25 on France 3, it’s the return of the soap opera Murders in… with the rebroadcast of Murders in Béarn. In this TV film, two great actresses are brought together: on one side, Catherine Marchal, and on the other, Isabel Otero. For France 3, they play Jeanne and Hélène, two women forced to collaborate together on an investigation, even though they hate each other.

We no longer present Isabel Otero. Born in 1962 in Rennes, she comes from a long line of artists. The actress is in fact the daughter of the painters Antonio Otero and Clotilde Vautier, the sister of the director Mariana Oterothe half-sister of actor Antojo Otero and the granddaughter of Spanish poet Antonio Otero Seco.

A familiar face in France

It was in 1984 that she began her career in cinema before deploying then on television and on stage. Among her notable roles, that of Emma in The vagaries of a river by Bernard Giraudeau or Victoria in The bet by Didier Bourdon. On the small screen, she participates in a number of successful series: High tides, Navarro, The Steenforts the barley masters, Les Thibault, Diane femme cop, La Crime, Mongeville, Commissioner Magellan, The perfect crimes, The last wave and recently The Pennacs with Christian Rauth and his daughter Julie-Anne Roth. The actress also participates in her sister’s film, Story of a secreta documentary film about their mother, who died prematurely at the age of 28, on March 10, 1968, following a clandestine abortion.

Daughter of, Isabel Otero is also the mother of a famous actress. At the beginning of the 80s, Isabel Otero had a beautiful love story with the actor Hippolyte Girardot. From their romance was born an only daughter Ana Girardot. The latter has been following in the footsteps of her parents since 2010. She has appeared in around twenty films, Next time, I will aim for the heart, Cloclo, Ogre, The house, Or Holy Love. She also played Anne in the hilarious series The flame And The torch alongside Jonathan Cohen, before appearing in the highly acclaimed Totems. In 2024, we find her in the Bille August mini-series The count of Monte Cristo but also in The wages of fear, a remake of the cult film by Henri-George Clouzot.
