The last day of Nationale 2 of SA Moncoutant will not be a walk in the park for the organizations which started the season on September 9. On the contrary, we will have to remain very serious this Saturday, May 25. While the last three teams in a group of twelve will be relegated, the Moncoutantaises will have to achieve an almost essential victory.

“We could have guaranteed our survival from the previous day in Vierzon (25-21), but we still have destiny in our hands: if we win, we remain, explains Louis Robichon, whose team is in ninth place (35 points). Otherwise, we will have to look at what Fleury does in Bléré (because Fleury is 10e with 35 pts). »

“Hold on to the project” even if it means adapting less

The SAM coach, even if he will not think about the opposing match to avoid any distraction, also hopes to finish well at home. “It’s always nicer to finish at home, especially against the eighth-placed team. I prefer that to finishing against a podium team, adds Louis Robichon. But that doesn’t change the fact that we must win our last objective. »

To do this, the Deux-Sévriennes will concentrate on their game plan. “It may seem a bit lame to say it like that, smiles Louis Robichon. But we tried a lot to adapt to our opponents this season and it didn’t necessarily work. »

Facing Carquefou, SA Moncoutant will be reinforced by several young elements partly from the national U17 team, which further increases the importance of respecting the instructions. “One of our major players will be absent, slips the 26-year-old coach. We will really need to be a liberated player and stick to our project. »

The wounds hurt

The Deux-Sévriennes have often managed to hold off the good teams in the championship this season, but they have also often broken down at the end of the match. “It’s the irregularity that puts us in our place by being ninth, also because of the injuries, assures Louis Robichon, who will complete his first season at the head of SAM on Saturday evening. If we had done the whole season, our place would not be this. »

Even in difficulties, Louis Robinchon appreciated the state of mind of his group. “I didn’t see a drop in motivation, the girls were strong physically. Our medical staff has not changed compared to Nationale 1, not all teams can afford it, he recalls. But it will feel good to end the season. » Especially if it ends with maintenance.

This Saturday, May 25 at 7 p.m.
