The video which was shared on the social network X, formerly Twitter, by an Internet user, shows passengers in panic on board a plane.

A Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER flying between London and Singapore had to make an emergency landing in Bangkok on Tuesday after experiencing severe turbulence which led to the death of one of its passengers, the airline and authorities said .

At a press conference, the general director of Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, Kittipong Kittikachor, said a 73-year-old British national had died, probably of a heart attack. Of the 30 injured, seven were seriously injured in the head and one member of the crew was hospitalized, he added.

Since this tragedy, numerous videos have been shared on social networks, notably on X, where we can discover the interior of the device. But, not all of the images that have been published are true. For example, a video viewed nearly a million times was posted online by an Internet user this Tuesday, May 21.

Images which suggest that it is the Boeing 777-300ER of Singapore Airlines.

However, according to TF1Info, this is actually a scene that was filmed “by an amateur videographer on a plane of the Bulgarian airline ALK which connected Pristina (Kosovo) and Basel (Switzerland) on June 16, 2019”.

Our colleagues add that this accident caused, at the time, ten injuries among the 121 passengers on board the aircraft.
