Sunday, May 26 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Jean-Rostand center (882 route de Sainte-Foy), the second edition of the Au naturel Pouydesseaux event will be held. The day is organized jointly by the Paloume center and Jean-Rostand.

“With Alice Gleyze, head of the Jean-Rostand center, we wanted people to meet, create connections and identify those involved in environmental protection,” declares Gabriel Jegou, communications manager of the Paloume center. Last year, 400 visitors came for this day. We have planned everything to do better. We have invited numerous associations that work for the environment, sometimes very discreetly. The goal is to highlight them so that they can explain their efforts to the general public. »

15 associations

Thus, the La Faune Landaise association will talk about its work to protect wildlife and the European otter, for which we build bridges so that it can cross roads safely. In total, 15 associations will be present, including the hunting and fishing federations, “whose actions are essential”, according to Gabriel Jegou.

Local artisans will also sell their products: cheeses, honey, Armagnac. The shepherds of the Nine Fountains will bring their flock, for the pleasure of the children. A participatory animal photo exhibition will allow those who want to showcase their talent.

Among the activities planned, the Demain la Terre association will talk about permaculture, with a workshop around medieval-inspired gardens, up to the making of a drink from this era. The botanical walk, enhanced with tales by Pierre Molinier, will certainly be appreciated. An animal release is also planned. A visit to the Jean-Rostand center and its history will be on the program. Catering and refreshments will be provided. Free entry (dogs on a leash are welcome).
