A major fire raged early Thursday evening in the Charlesbourg area.

Firefighters sounded a third alarm for a blaze that broke out in a building under construction located near the Bourg-Royal and Louis-XIV intersection.

Deployment is very important. Dozens of firefighters have been fighting the flames for more than an hour.

In Bourg-Royal, the outage begins more than two kilometers to the south and the traffic lights are out of service. Traffic is completely blocked in both directions on Louis-XIV. Travel should be avoided and there are many curious people in this busy place.

No rescue was necessary since the building is not yet inhabited.

Around 8:30 p.m., the decision was made to restore power gradually.

The Oïkos Construction rental project, which was to be delivered in 2025, will undoubtedly be delayed due to the heavy damage.
