The round of 16 continues on the set of Don’t forget the lyrics. Thursday October 17, 2024, it was Manon and Louis’ turn to face off.
“Manon, fifth greatest of all the Maestros, tenth for Louis”, announced Nagui at the start of the show. A match which announces a close score, and with a lot of level! It is in fact the best Maestros in the ranking who compete on the set of Don’t forget the lyrics, as the semi-final approaches. A semi-final broadcast in prime time next Saturday. In the meantime, the candidates compete for their place. As promised, the score was very, very close between Manon and Louis.
A very close first leg match
At the time of the “The same song” test, the score was, as is often the case, very close. In fact, Manon led by 80 points, against 40 for Louis, but nothing was over yet! It was time for Louis to go to the chair. Unfortunately for Manon, she didn’t manage to get to the end of the song. “I’m getting tricked again like last year, I thought that was the trap”she confided. She still led with 99 points, compared to 40 for Louis. A gap that he won’t fill since he won’t finish the song either. He is therefore at 59 points at the end of this first leg.
Who won these round of 16?
A return match which was once again very close! Arriving at the fateful test of the same song, this time it is Louis who leads Manon by ten points. It is then Manon who is once again ahead of Louis with a ten-point lead. The suspense is really present since the two Maestros double and redouble each other throughout the match. Manon manages to go all the way to the end of “I’m sick”, to the applause of the audience. She then displays a score of 349 points. A score which gives victory to Manon. Louis leaves with €21,000. “It’s exceptional,” he commented. “I have no regrets, I don’t blame myself, I did everything I could do,” he added. Manon heads straight to the final, where she wins €20,000. A real feat for this Maestro who has, once again, confirmed her level!
