In homage to Samuel Paty and Dominique Bernard, Frédéric Lafforgue, mayor of Castelnau-le-Lez, has decided, in consultation with the educational community, that a place in Castelnau-le-Lez will bear the names of these two teachers. This symbolic gesture aims to perpetuate their memory and remind people of the importance of preserving freedom of conscience and secularism on a daily basis. The choice of location will be made in consultation with the teachers of the municipality.

Through this act, the City reaffirms its attachment to republican values ​​and its unwavering support for the educational community.
